Obituary of Mary Fipps

Mary Hardee Fipps, 77, loving mother and grandmother, died Monday, February 25, 2008. She was born December 1, 1930 in Horry County, South Carolina, daughter of the late William Mayo and Attie Cox Hardee. She was also preceded in death by her husband Frank P. Fipps, Sr., and two brothers, Watis and Shelton Hardee.

Mrs. Fipps is survived by her daughter, Quida F. Holder and her husband Mack of Raleigh; sons, Fred Fipps, Jr., and his wife Mandy and Daniel Fipps and his wife Tammy of Willow Springs; grandchildren, Matthew and Amanda Holder and Taylor Fipps; brothers, Avery Hardee and Joyce Hardee of Loris SC, and Defford Hardee of Creedmore; sisters, Iris Sarvis of Loris, SC, Elga Russ of Sanford, Doris Piver of Tabor City, Leatis Smith and Carolyn Edwards both of Rock Hill, SC, and Vela Wood of Wilson Mills.

The family will receive friends from 7 8:30 p.m. Thursday, February 28, at Montlawn Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held Friday, February 29, 2008 at 2:00 p.m., at the Montlawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Billy Cashwell officiating. Entombment will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park.
