RALEIGH

Mary Anne Golden, 87, passed away on Tuesday December 15, 2020. She was born in Chicago, IL on February 26, 1933 to the late Edward C. and Mary Teska Besch. Mary Anne was married to Bruce E. Golden (Poughkeepsie, NY). Mary is survived by her daughter, Anne Marie McClelland and her grandchildren, Kirsten E. McClelland (Charlotte, NC) and Zachary J. McClelland (Pittsburgh, PA).

Mary moved to Raleigh to live with her daughter, Anne, Anne's husband, Tim McClelland, and their children in 1994. Mary has been very active as a grandparent at Cary Christian School over the years.  She was also a member of the Apex United Methodist Church and a regular at their Monday Morning Bible Studies.

Mary will be greatly missed by her family and friends and we are thankful for her sweet and loving spirit and dedication to prayer and Bible reading. Mary's favorite Bible verse was 2 Timothy 1:7: "For God hath not given us a spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind."
