Mrs. Mary Walker Forsyth Olive, 89, of Raleigh passed away Saturday, July 8, 2017. She was born August 30, 1927 in Scotland, daughter of the late John and Mary Hamilton Forsyth. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Franklin Olive and a sister, Jean Forsyth.

Mrs. Olive was a very devoted member of St. John's Baptist Church in Raleigh where she volunteered a great deal of her time. She worked for Prudential Life Insurance for 50 years.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 12th at 2:30 P.M. in the Montlawn Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Scott Hovey presiding. The family will receive friends Wednesday at the funeral home from 1:30 - 2:15 P.M. Interment will follow in Montlawn Memorial Park.

She is survived by her daughter, Mary Elizabeth Olive Brown and husband William E. from Savannah, GA, a brother, Samuel Forsyth from Australia, a step granddaughter, Kelley E. Levens and husband Ed and a step great-grandson, Cooper.
