Mary Dorothy Seala Opatha passed peacefully on Tuesday, July 22, 2025.

Mary was a beloved mother, friend and mentor. The daughter of James and Seela. She was born in Sri Lanka and moved to the United States where she managed to fulfill most of her dreams.

A dedicated and passionate teacher she was able to build her own school. Which allowed her to help children and their wonderful parents.

She loved to travel, spend time with her loved ones, and shop. She will always be remembered as a caring and selfless person; and will remain in her family's hearts forever.

Mary is survived by her husband, 2 sons;2 daughters -in-law; three grandchildren, and three sisters. She was preceded in death by her loving parents and one brother
