Mary Rose Stewart, 94, passed peacefully in her home March 11, 2021. She was called "Granny" by many who loved her.

Mary was born November 18, 1926 daughter of the late Joseph and Lydia Stuart. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Margaret Guest and Mamie Lambert, brothers Leo, Wayne, and Robert Stuart.

She had four wonderful sons. George Stewart Jr and wife, Linda Stewart of Fuquay Varina, Charles Ray Stewart and late wife, Joyce Stewart of Willow Spring, Ronnie Rex Stewart and wife Sherri Stewart of Sanford. Late Jeffery Lee "Jeff" Stewart and Donna Stewart. Six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to The Gideons International or Transitions  Hospice Care.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, March 14th at 2:00 p.m. at Montlawn Memorial Park, 2911 S. Wilmington Street, Raleigh NC 27603.
