Mary Alice Young Wilkerson
1916-2016
Mary Alice Young Wilkerson went home to be with her Lord and Savior on September 1, 2016. She was born September 18, 1916 in Cary, NC. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 10th, 10:00 am at Montlawn Cemetary , 2911 S.Wilmington Street, Raleigh, NC 26710.
She was the daughter of Golden Alva Young and Ben Anna Pipkin Young. Mary was predeceased by her beloved husband of 58 years, James Franklin Wilkerson. Also, she was predeceased by her sisters: Hilda Rebecca Sarrocco, Anna Geneva Jones, Gladys Charlotte Daughtery, and Doris Ruth Potts. She is survived by her daughter Francine Wilkerson, granddaughters: Amanda McDonald Hull and husband, Edward Hull of Raleigh; Elizabeth Campbell Holton and husband, Dr. Kenneth Holton of New Bern, NC; great grandchildren: Arden Laurel Bullard and Kenneth James Holton; sister in law: Mrs. John Milton Wilkerson of Cypress, CA; many nieces and nephews she held close to her heart, and her cherished neighbors.
