Matthew Scott Hadfield, 44, left this world much too soon on June 9, 2020. He was a beloved father of four, son, brother, uncle, and friend.

Matt lived in the Raleigh area most of his life, working in the restaurant industry in various roles. From dishwasher, to chef, to manager, he brought a strong work ethic no matter the task and was always helpful to those around him. The relationships he made while working would develop into lifelong friendships he cherished. Matt worked hard to provide for his family who were the most important people in his life. He would always say that his family was his life and that he was nothing without them. He was always there for his kids, no matter what.

Matt leaves behind four wonderful children, Alexander (Alex), Jordan, Micheal, and Katherine (Katie) Hadfield, their mothers Shelby Hadfield and Cara Hadfield, his fiancée Amanda Evans, his parents Sherry and Kenneth Hadfield, his sisters Christina Rait and Michelle Hadfield (Gabe Saintvil), several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles.

Matt was a unique soul who brought a humorous and wonderful joy to all those he met. To say he will be missed is an understatement. Please share and cherish the memories you have of him.

In lieu of flowers, the family is accepting memorial donations for his two youngest children Micheal and Katherine (Katie).
