Obituary of Mattie Holder

Mrs. Mattie Sue Styers Holder, 75, passed away Saturday April, 24, 2010 at Inova Fairfax Hospital as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Family will receive friends 6-7pm, Tuesday, April 27 and 1-2pm, Wednesday, April 28 at Huff Funeral Home in East Bend, NC. A Graveside Funeral Service will follow, 2:30pm at Macedonia Cemetery in East Bend, NC.

Mattie was born on August 16, 1935 to R. Crews Styers and Lillian Huff Styers. Mattie was a successful realtor in Northern Virginia for 43 years, receiving many awards and ultimately owning her own company. She was a loving mother and grandmother and her culinary skills were widely known.

Mattie is survived by her children; Terri Walters, husband Peter, David Holder and Paul Holder, wife Kelly; grandchildren, Cliff Gillette, Katharine Walters, Christopher Holder, and Rachel Holder. Mattie is predeceased by her husband, Joe Terrell Holder.
