Mattie Miller Jones, 92, of Garner, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 27, 2019.  Mattie was born to the late John and Emma Miller on June 1, 1927.  She was predeceased by her late husband of 52 years, Braxton Jones, as well as two brothers and six sisters.

Survivors include her five children: Wayne (Shari) Jones, Janice (Ronnie) Earp, Judy Seay, Sandra (Tom) Adams, and Deborah (Steve) Dixon.  She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

Mattie was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family.  She spent many years making quilts, only to give them away.  Mattie always had a smile, became a Prayer Warrior and displayed love to everyone.

The family will receive friends at Mattie's house on Sunday, September 29, from 1:00 to 5:00 PM.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, October 1 ^st from 1:30 to 3:00 PM at Montlawn Funeral Home, 2911 S. Wilmington Street, Raleigh, NC  27603, with a funeral service in the Montlawn chapel at 3:00 PM.  Burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park.
