Mildred Cawthorn died peacefully on Friday, February 2, 2018 at the age of 81.
She is survived by her step-sons, Robin and wife Debbie of Willow Spring, NC, Tucker and wife Terry of Fletcher, NC, David and wife Carla of Clayton, NC and her grandchildren, Katie, Kelsey, Meagan, Robert, Sam, Sarah and Jack. Mildred was preceded in death by her brothers, Wilson Wall, Jennings Wall and Don Wall, her first husband, Tommy Scott, a son, Kevin Scott, second husband, Joel Cawthorn and a grandson, Ben Cawthorn.
Mildred was born on September 29, 1936 in Winston-Salem to Thelma and Charlie Wall. She graduated from Mineral Springs High School in 1954. She worked for N.C. State Government for over 30 years and was very active with the Mother's Against Drunk Driving (MADD) organization for several years, traveling and being their spokesperson for a time.
A service to celebrate Mildred's life will be held Thursday, February 8th at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel at Montlawn Funeral Home. All are welcome.
