Obituary of Mildred King

Mildred Perry King, 83, of Raleigh, passed away Saturday night, August 27, 2011 at the Oaks at Mayview with her family by her side.

Funeral Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at Montlawn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:30-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 30, 2011.

A native of Wake County, NC, Mildred was born May 26, 1928, the daughter of the late Marshall Perry and Daisy Brannan Perry. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Eldred King.

Mildred is survived by her daughters, Fay Hildebran of Raleigh, and Grace King of Clayton; a son, Danny King of Raleigh; grandchildren, Suzanne Gibson and husband Todd of Holly Springs, Scott Fleming and wife Heather of Eagle, CO, and Crystal Steiner of Holly Springs; great-grandchildren, Austin and Ryan Gibson of Holly Springs; sister-n-law, Linda Baker of Raleigh; brother, Charles Perry of Raleigh, and half-sister, Dorothy Upchurch of Zebulon.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at Hospice of Wake County and The Oaks at Mayview, for taking such good care of their mother.
