Muriel Bey passed away peacefully January 14,2021 at Wake Medical Hospital. She was born April 11, 1934 to the late Etta Ethel Carr and Robert A. (Gussy) Carr.

She moved to Raleigh, NC in 1966 with her husband and children where she was a homemaker for over 13 years. She went to work in 1979 with Nationwide Insurance in the Collections Department where she remained until December 31,1994. Upon retiring she received a "Resolution of Tribute" for her loyal service of 15 years.

Muriel loved her family dearly. She is survived by five children and their families:

daughter- Deborah Perry and husband Phil and granddaughter Alyssa

daughter- Patricia Ragsdale and husband Terry and grandsons: William Taylor and Aaron

son-Alton Folks and wife Melissa and grand daughters: Jillian and Ashley and great-grandson: Oliver and great-grand daughter: Harper

son- Charles Bey

son- Casey Kim Bey and wife Donna and grandson Dalton and granddaughters Emily and Lesley.

A graveside service will be held January 20, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Montlawn Memorial Park,

2911 S. Wilmington St., Raleigh, NC 27603. In lieu of flowers please send donations to

Michael J Fox Foundation for Parkinson's research.
