MYKHAYLO MYKHALYOVICH RAD was born on February 18th, 1966 in Zakarpattia Oblast, Ukraine, to Mykhaylo and Yulianna Rad. Mykhaylo's physical journey ended in Raleigh, North Carolina on December 13th, 2021. Mykhaylo passed away peacefully to God's pearly gates where there is only love and happiness for him.
Mykhaylo was a kind, youthful, passionate, hard-working, and adventurous man that was full of life and culture. He was a rare soul that will truly leave a mark on everyone he left behind and will be deeply missed by many all over the world.
Myhaylo was the sibling of 2 sisters and 3 brothers who he remained close with all his life. At the age of 30, he married Marina Rad and had two beautiful children together, Yevgeniya and Mikhail Rad.
Mykhaylo with his family and other relatives moved to the United States in the early 2000's to start a new life full of opporunities. Myhaylo was constantly rewarded for being so hardworking and passionate about his granite countertop work. Mykhaylo started his own granite countertop service in 2012 named Rad Rocks. He was an amazing entrepreneur and boss that always took care of his employees and customers, you never had to pay for lunch when you were with him! He was adored all around the East Coast for his work and love for what he does.
Mykhaylo spent time away from work enjoying life to the absolute fullest! He might have been 55 on the day of his passing, but he had the heart and adventureous soul of a 25 year old. Everyone knew him for his weekly jet ski, fishing, hunting, or four-wheeling adventures. He truly did not spend a minute of his life resting or wasting any time to do what he loves. He was an amazing and caring father, friend, employer, brother, uncle, and man of God. His family and loved ones meant the most to him. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need, regularly helped unfortunate people back in his hometown in Ukraine, and even had plans to start his own nonprofit to help his hometown with his children.
His love for animals, nature, mountains, and lakes will live on with his family and friends. Mykhaylo saw the beauty in all things and let his inner child lead his life. He loved making birdhouses and other small gifts out of wood and his favorite place to visit in NC was Asheville and Cherokee, which he visited almost every month. Myhayklo loved meeting people from all walks of life and made a lasting impression on many.
Mykhaylo died an honest, generous man that touched the souls of lots of people, never failed to crack a joke or smile with everyone he met, showered his nieces and nephews with gitfs, and will be remembered as the most loving father. He would give his absolute all to anyone he loved who needed a favor.
He is survived by his mother Yulianna Rad, his brothers Ivan and Yuriy Rad, his sister Maria Svirhun, his ex-wife Marina, his children Yevgeniya and Mikhai Rad, and many more family members which he loved. He is preceded in death by his late father Myhaylo Rad and his older sister Anna Didkivska.
He completely changed his life when he found God years ago and dedicated his life to being a humble servant of his heavenly Father. May he rest in heaven where he can continue to enjoy all the riches of life for all eternity.
