Mrs. Myra Sisk Rogers, 92, of Raleigh passed away Wednesday, December 6, 2017. She was born May 25, 1925 in Newport, TN daughter of the late Samuel Hannon Sisk and Mattie Kennedy Sisk.

Mrs. Rogers retired from the State of Virginia Department of Taxation. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, an avid card player, loved shopping and most of all loved spending time with her family. She loved the beach and traveled many places, having traveled the world in her late 70's.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, December 9, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. in the Montlawn Funeral Home chapel in Raleigh. Entombment will follow in the Garden Mausoleum in Montlawn Memorial Park.

She is survived by a daughter, Deborah Annette Gilchrist and husband Ricky of Raleigh, two sons, Phillip Lee Cummins and wife Brenda of Raleigh and Kirk Samuel Cummins and wife Jennifer of Leesburg, VA, twelve grandchildren, Derrick Gilchrist (Alaina), Deidre Gilchrist Schwietering (Michael), Darrell Gilchrist (Stephanie), Kellen Reeves (Megan), Michael Cummins, Kara Reeves, Kevin Cummins (Hope), Mathew Cummins, Mark Cummins, Bailey Jenkins, Carrie Cummins and Casey Jenkins, and eleven great grandchildren, Presley Gilchrist, Ethan Gilchrist, Kensley Gilchrist, Monroe Gilchrist, Soleia Schwietering, Gilly Gilchrist, Haven Schwietering, Vivian Gilchrist, Aubrey Nadeau, Lewyn Reeves and Lucas Cummins.
