Obituary of Myrtle Snell
Myrtle Atkinson Snell, 89 of Raleigh, passed away Thursday morning, September 24, 2015 at Wake Medical Center.
Born October 14, 1925 in Wayne Co., NC, she was the daughter of the late William L.T. Atkinson and Mary W. Fail Atkinson. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Oliver Stewart Snell, Jr.; daughter, Elva Mae Snell; sister, Doris Lebnick; and brother, G.L. Atkinson.
Myrtle is survived by her son Michael L. Snell and wife Teresa; granddaughters, Ashley S. Card and husband Justin, Christine E. Snell; sister, Carrie Atkinson; two nieces and two nephews.
A Funeral Service will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, September 28, 2015 at Montlawn Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Rev. Bob Vradenburgh. Burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Franklin Manor and Wake Medical Center on 5B for their care and compassion.
