Obituary

Nancy Ann Armstrong Lentz, of Raleigh, devoted Christian, Wife, Mother and Nana passed away peacefully on July 5, 2022, at Duke Raleigh Hospital.  Nancy was born in Michigan on August 28, 1939, the daughter of Arlin and Nora Armstrong. Nancy and her husband Roger moved to North Carolina in 1959 and raised their four children in Raleigh.

Nancy was predeceased by her parents.  She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years Roger, son Jim Lentz and daughters Trisha Blaylock (Skip), Helen Whitley (Richard), and Anne Hopp (James).  Beloved Nana of ten grandchildren, Shannon Crocker (Jason), Chris Lentz (Megan), Steven Whitley (Lorena), Kayla Whitley, Jarrett Blaylock (Rebekah), Bryce Hopp, Olivia Clarke (Kadison), Camille Whitley, Ethan Hopp and Mary Hopp. Great Nana to four, Holden Crocker, Nora Crocker, Levi Lentz, and Harper Whitley.   Nancy will be missed by her extended family in Michigan, including her sister Mary Jo Peckover.

She was a graduate of Wake Technical Community College and was a devoted LPN at a pediatric office for many years. She enjoyed spending time with family, friends and being involved with church. From attending events for her grandchildren to taking selfies with her granddaughters, her true joy was being around her family and her faith.

Nancy was a faithful servant and although could not make it to church the past few years, would always watch online services each Sunday with her husband.

Funeral services will be held at on Friday, July 15, 2022 at 2:00 PM in theMontlawn Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be held from 1:00 - 2:00 PM prior to the funeral service.
