Nancy Dew Fowler, 85 of Apex, NC passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 2, 2025 after a recent illness. She was born on August 21, 1939 and grew up in a farming community near Bailey, NC. Nancy graduated from Bailey High School, after which she met and married Bernard Harlow Fowler in 1959. To their union two children, Stephen Harlow Fowler and Stewart Arrington Fowler were born. Nancy retired as a supervisor from the State Department of Transportation in Raleigh. She was a faithful member and supporter of Swift Creek Baptist Church and loved gardening, cooking, watching sports, and spending time with church friends and family.

Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Harlow; son, Steven; her parents, Dennis and Nannie Dew; sisters, Gloria Morris (Ted) and Penny Jackson (Bill); brother, Ben Dew (Nancy); brothers-in-law, Bobby Lee Finch, Thomas Fowler, and Gordon Jones; sisters-in-law, Peggy Fowler Jones, Rosealma Jones and Zata Mae Layton. Nancy is survived by her son, Stewart Fowler (Amy); sister, Patricia Finch; brother, Bobby Dew (Shirley); grandchildren, Nicole Johnson, Austin Fowler, Daniel Fowler; great-grandchildren, Cooper Johnson and Cassidy Johnson.

Services honoring the life of Nancy will begin with a visitation on Monday, March 10, 2025 at 12:00 noon at Montlawn Funeral Home 2911 S. Wilmington St., Raleigh, NC 27603. Following the visitation, a celebration of life service will be held at 1:00 pm at Montlawn Chapel. Swift Creek Pastor Jason Dunham will officiate.
