Obituary of Nancy Francisco

Nancy Carol Williams Francisco, 74, passed away August 4, 2015 at home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born November 6, 1940 in Charlotte, NC and moved to Durham as a child. Nancy graduated from Durham High School and briefly attended East Carolina Teachers College (now known as ECU). She left college to live with Mary Dickens Saloh, her mother's sister, in Niagara Falls, NY. Nancy went on to become Miss Niagara Falls and runner up to Miss New York State. Nancy was a true nurturer and devoted mother all the way to the end. Caring for and loving her children, grandchildren and great-grandchild is what gave her great pride and joy. She was self sacrificing and always put others before herself. Nancy never met a stranger and was known to all by "Mama".

She is survived by her husband, Thomas Collins Francisco of Buffalo, NY and her children, Tammy Francisco Janicki and husband Jamie of Raleigh, NC, Carla Kelly Kiser and husband David of Buffalo, NY, Robert William Francisco and wife Jackie of Wake Forest, NC; grandchildren, Caitlin Janicki Eckenrode and husband Taylor, Jordan Carroll and Hannah Rayne Janicki, Brittany Nicole Marie, and Kaylee Morgan Taylor, Thomas James Thompson, Isabella Mary and Robert William Francisco, Jr.; great-grandchild, Gracilyn Mae Jasinski; siblings, Delores "Dee" McPherson and husband Hugh, Cliff Williams and wife Deana, Craig Williams and Summer Stuart. She was predeceased by her brother Thomas Marion Williams, Jr. and her sister, Diane "Doe Doe" Carver Wilson.

A Celebration of Nancy's Life will be held at a later date.
