RALEIGH
Nancy Carolyn Howard,81, of Raleigh, NC went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, March 10, 2022. She is preceded in death by her parents Eddie and Ruby Bullock, a niece-Melissa Watkins, a great-great niece-Angel Cummings, her sister-in-law-Shirley Bullock and her brother-in-law-Larry Watkins. Nancy was a Certified Nursing Assistant for over 38 years with Wake Medical Hospital in Raleigh. Nancy loved helping others and was a caretaker for her mother Ruby during her later years until she went to a skilled nursing facility. Nancy loved all the children in the family and loved to babysit often. She loved to play cards and took it very seriously too. She loved puzzle books and stuffed animals especially cats and pigs. She loved to listen to sermon and Jerry Clower tapes. She loved watching the Atlanta Braves play baseball, Andy Griffith and Murder She Wrote. She dearly loved her neighbors, Tom and Lisa Barrie and their community cat Asia. She loved her long time friend Janice Decker and also loved her neighbors like family at Parkview Manor Apartments in Raleigh, especially mama Betty. Nancy was in a bowling league at Fairlane Bowling Alley for many years. She was a long-time member of Pilot Baptist Church in Raleigh under Pastor Karl Leonard until its closing. She would often go to Person St. Pharmacy Café to gather with friends and family to eat lunch or play cards. Nancy was often lovingly referred to as Buzzy Moo Moo or Aunt Nanny. Nancy always had an endearing goodbye remark, she always said, "Love you to pieces" when you were leaving or getting ready to get off the phone with her. She is survived by her siblings Barbara Watkins, Harold Bullock and Allen Bullock, many cousins, nieces and nephews as well as great and great-great nieces and nephews.
The Family would like to sincerely thank Dr. Glenndale Moore and staff for their outstanding care of Nancy at Wakemed.

A visitation will be held on Monday, March 28, from 11:00am-12:00pm at Mountlawn Funeral Home, 2911 S. Wilmington St. Raleigh, NC
In lieu flowers, contributions can be made to the Wake County SPCA. Nancy dearly loved all cats and dogs.
