Nathan Robert Ray, 85, of Kenly, passed away peacefully on November 2, 2022.

Nathan was born on August 19, 1937, to the late Nathan Sr. and Goldie Ray in Cary, NC. He was a member of Hilltop FWB. Nathan graduated from Cary High School. He was the owner of Ray's Paint & Body Shop for many years. In his years of retirement, he enjoyed traveling, Nascar, spending time with his family and spoiling his dog, Cricket.

Nathan is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Lettie Crocker Ray, sisters Sherry Watts and Phyllis Miller, as well as beloved children, Vicki Carwell (Ronnie) of Raleigh, Scott Ray (Annie) of Smithfield, Sharon Ellis (Craig) of Middlesex, and Annette Eatmon (Bexley) of Sims, thirteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

Services will be held at Montlawn Funeral Home Chapel, 2911 S Wilmington St. Raleigh on November 7, 2022, at 2:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Nascar Foundation or DPC- Dialysis Patients Citizens.
