Obituary of Norman Conyers

Norman Exum Conyers, 83, son of the late John and Ruby Conyers passed away peacefully on Monday, August 15, 2010 following a courageous battle with Dementia.

Graveside Funeral Service will be held 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Montlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Montlawn Funeral Home.

Norman was born in Franklin Co. N.C. and made his home in Raleigh after his honorable discharge from the U.S Navy. Following retirement from the Raleigh Fire Department in 1981 after 32 years of service, he was employed with the former N.C.N.B in an operations management capacity from which he also retired. Norman was a tireless worker, an excellent provider for his family, and set a Christian example for his sons.

He is survived by his son Jeff and his wife Pam, and granddaughter Katie. He was preceded in death by his wife Virginia, and son Norman.
