Obituary of Ollie Holland

Ollie Rex Holland, 88, died peacefully Saturday, November 14, 2009 at Sunnybrook Nursing Home.

The family will receive friends at Montlawn Funeral Home Monday, November 16, 2009 at 10:00am. The service will follow at 11:00am in Montlawn Funeral Home Chapel.

Born in Wake County to Mr. and Mrs. Haston Holland, he was one of six children. Rex was a veteran of World War II, with the US Army, 80 Division, as well as a member of the Raleigh Masons. After his honorable discharge from the Army, Rex married Marie Ragan in 1947. He retired as a self employed building contractor after over 35 years.

Mr. Holland is survived by his wife of 62 years; two sisters; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; and one sister.
