RALEIGH

Patricia Bryan, 89, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2021. She was born April 19, 1932 in Statesville, NC to the late Nancy Ann Bunn Bass of  Zebulon, NC and the late William Arthur Bass, Sr. of Nashville, NC. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother William Arthur Bass, Jr. of Raleigh. Patricia graduated from Hugh Morson High School in 1950. She was a member of the school's choir and performed in many of the school's plays using her gift of song. Patricia retired as an Accounting Supervisor with 30+ years of service with Great American Insurance Group. After retirement, Patricia kept busy working with the NC Department of Revenue and later working part-time with Hudson's Bookkeeping in Garner.

Patricia was a woman of strong faith who loved her church and her family. She was a member at Longview Baptist Church in Raleigh for 50+ years where she sang in the choir, served as a Deacon, taught Women's Sunday school and the children's choir. She was a gifted singer, artist, and poet. Patricia's other great love was to travel with her family and friends.

Patricia is survived by her son Timothy Bryan and his wife Valerie of Raleigh; sister, Nancy Solomon of Raleigh; sister-in-law Dorothy Bass of Raleigh; three nieces; Tracy Solomon Weekman, Wendy Solomon Fox, Dottie Bass Burch all of Raleigh and nephew William Bretford Bass of Wake Forest.

A memorial service will be held at Longview Baptist Church June 5, 2021. Visitation will be at 1:00 pm and the memorial service at 2:00 pm. A graveside service will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Longview Baptist Church, 2308 N. New Hope Road, Raleigh, NC 27604. The family would like to thank the staff of Rex Rehabilitation & Nursing Care Center of Raleigh for their loving care and support during Patricia's stay.
