Patricia (Tricia) Mitchell, 81, passed away on September 7, 2026, after an extended illness. She was born on December 5, 1944, in Warrenton, North Carolina and was the daughter of Edsel (deceased) and Hilda Loyd. Tricia worked for twenty plus years with Carolina Power and Light, along with various other companies for short periods before joining and retiring from Wake Electric Co-Op in 2009. Tricia’s passions were spending time with her family, reading, painting pictures and watching videos on painting tutorials along with creating beautiful jewelry.

Her favorite time of the year were Thanksgiving and Christmas. She loved being in the kitchen with all her family to make food along with goodies during the holidays each year. Tricia loved the Williamsburg area and visited multiple times over the years with her mom, Hilda and sister, Angie. She loved spending time at the beach each summer with her family. Tricia loved her family and we will never be the same without her.

Surviving to cherish her memory, her mother Hilda Loyd, brothers Randy Loyd (Dianne), Barry Loyd (Joy) and sister Angie Terzic (Voja), nephews Chris Loyd (Joy), John Loyd (Sara), Nick Terzic, Alex Terzic, nieces Kim Loyd, Meredith Bell (Joe), Maya Terzic along with 2 great nephews Shep Bell, Hayes Bell and 1 great niece Josie Loyd.

Tricia will live in our hearts today and always.
