In loving memory of Patsy Lou Wagoner Brown, born in Vincennes, Indiana on February 6, 1938. She was 78 from Willow Spring, North Carolina. She passed on March 6, 2016 at Transitions Life Care, Raleigh, North Carolina after a year long battle with cancer. Her parents were Galen Israel Wagoner and Ida Martha Towle Wagoner of Argos, IN.
She graduated from Plymouth High School in 1956 and worked at the Dairy Queen where she met her life-long friend, companion, and husband James Allen Brown. They lived together in Plymouth, IN, Wiesbaden, Germany, Montgomery, Alabama, Elkhart, Indiana, Raleigh, North Carolina, and finally Willow Spring, NC.
She retired from The Food Bank of Raleigh in September, 2015 after 28 years of working in the financial department. She enjoyed vacationing with her family in the mountains and on the beach, watching UNC basketball and NASCAR. She is survived by her husband James Allen Brown, 77 and children, Gregory Brown of Willow Spring, Deborah Blanton (Darrell) Memphis, TN, Dawn Rector (James) Florence, SC, and Gary Brown (Dian) Mishawaka, IN; grandchildren, James Duncanson, Brittain Smith (Chad), Robert Duncanson (Emily), Dustin Rector, Jordan Brown, Tia Brown, Stephen Duncanson, Nathan Duncanson, Sydney Rector, Willow Rector, and Haven Rector; and great-grandchildren, Emmalee Clemer, Jayden Smith, Kylie Smith, Kate Duncanson, Mackenzie Duncanson, Paityn Smith, Caroline Duncanson, Mila Smith, and Lettie Duncanson; sister, Bonnie Bair (Larry) McDonough, GA; sister-in-law Ruthie Nifong (Floyd) Plymouth, IN; brother-in-law Mack Brown, Clayton, NC; sister-in-law Ruth Brown, Orlando, FL; niece Pam Fox (Steve), Gainesville, GA; nephew Michael Bair (Jena), McDonough, GA..
She was preceded in death by a brother Richard Wagoner in 1951 and a grandson Stephen Duncanson in 2003.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 10, 2016 at 11am at Montlawn Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Kevin Martin will be officiating.
