Obituary

Paul Edward Campbell, 91, passed into eternal life on August 6, 2026. Born in Elizabethton, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Taft and Grace Bradshaw Campbell.

Paul proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1953 to 1957. He continued his education by graduating from East Tennessee State University and later earning a Master's degree from Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina.

A lifelong educator, Paul dedicated many years to serving students and schools. He taught Industrial Arts at Sedgefield Junior High School in Charlotte, North Carolina, for 10 years, followed by three years at Northside Christian School in Charlotte. He later served as Principal of Midway Christian School in Raleigh, North Carolina, for five years. Through his teaching and leadership, Paul touched the lives of many students, families, and fellow educators.

Paul was a faithful member of Hilltop Church in Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina, for 40 years. Throughout his years of service, he held numerous positions within the church, including serving as a Deacon and Sunday School teacher. His faith, compassion, and commitment to others were central parts of his life.

Those left to cherish his memory include his beloved wife of 70 years, Wanda Campbell; son, Eddie Campbell; grandson, Jordan Campbell, all of Apex, North Carolina; daughter, Jane Campbell of Raleigh, North Carolina; and sister Darrell Ann Fair of Elizabethton, Tennessee.

Paul was preceded in death by his sisters, Mary Evelyn Taylor, Carolyn Richards, Georgia Berry, Betty Kyte, and Peggy Richardson; and his brothers, Bruce Campbell, James S. "Bo" Campbell, Bobby Lee Campbell, and Harold Bill Campbell.

A service to honor and celebrate Paul Edward Campbell's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on August 13, 2026, at Hilltop Church in Fuqay-Varina, North Carolina.

The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m prior to the service.

Burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park in Raleigh, North Carolina.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hilltop Church Missions fund, 10212 Fayetteville Road, Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526.

Paul's legacy of faith, service, dedication, and love for his family and community will continue to be remembered and cherished by all who knew him.

Paul will be remembered for his charm, his faith, his dedication to his students- but most of all, for the love he poured into his family. His presence filled rooms, his laughter lifted spirits, and his legacy lives on in the lives of those who loved him most.
