Paul Junior Dezern, 76 of Raleigh passed away, Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at Wake Medical Center.

Born September 13, 1937, he was the son of the late Clayer Dezern and Lula Ayers Dezern. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Paul Wayne Dezern; brothers, Jimmy Dezern, Arvey Dezern, and Max Dezern; sisters, Hazel Asheworth, and Stacey Dezern.

Paul is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Betty Penny Dezern; daughter, Sharon Brown; son Johnny Dezern; 2 grandchildren; sister, Betty Lou Cascall; and many nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service will be held 1:00 p.m., Friday, August 15, 2014 at Montlawn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 11:30-1:00 p.m. prior to the service.
