Pearson Alex (Jimmy) Riggan, died peacefully at Duke Raleigh Hospital on Friday after a brief illness. He was a longtime car dealer in the Raleigh area, a member of Corinth Baptist Church in Oxford and was a veteran of the US Army.
Funeral services will be held 11 am Tuesday at Montlawn Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at 3 pm in Elmwood Cemetery in Oxford, NC.
Surviving are his wife Virginia Riggan; daughters, Ann Bynum (Tim Bynum) of Angier and Beverly Riggan (fiance, Frank Boyce) of Raleigh; brother, Richard Riggan of Greenville; grandchildren, Matthew Parker, Justin Parker and Jonathan Bynum.
