Obituary of Peggy Floyd

Peggy Godwin Floyd, 75, of Wendell died Tuesday afternoon at Rex Healthcare after a battle with mesothelioma.

Funeral service will be 3 p.m. Friday in Montlawn Funeral Home chapel. Burial, Montlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

A native of Wake County, she was the wife of the late Robert Clifton Floyd and worked for the State of North Carolina, Corning Glass as well as the Ham and Egger and Hayes Barton Grill.

Peggy is survived by her children, Debra Floyd Smith and her husband James Allen Smith of Zebulon, Robert Wayne Floyd and his wife Deborah Young Floyd, Elizabeth Floyd Luck and her husband Daniel Lee Luck, all of Wendell; grandchildren, Kristie Lynn Smith, Laura Allen Smith, Steven Aaron Smith, Heather Marie Young, Blake Alexander Floyd, Daniel Lee Luck, Jr., Andrew Joseph Luck and Robert Christian Luck; brothers, John Godwin, Jr. and Pete Godwin and her sister, Ellen Batten.
