Obituary of Phyllis Brittain
Phyllis Selfridge Brittain, 86, of Zebulon, died on July 16 at home, surrounded by her family.
A private graveside service will be held at Onslow Memorial Park in Jacksonville, NC.
Phyllis was born on December 31, 1920 in England and eventually moved with her young family to the United States. She met life with great vigor and a wonderful outlook, as she and Bill raised their seven children. Her sense of family, immediate and extended, is her greatest gift to us all.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her loving husband of many years, William Blake Brittain.
She is survived by her seven children: daughter, Marilyn Bible and husband Chad of Leland, NC; daughter, Jennifer Brittain of Zebulon; son, Paul Brittain and wife Cindy of Zebulon; son, Steven Brittain and wife Cindy of Tarboro; daughter, Susan King and husband Dale of Zebulon; son, Michael Brittain of Fayetteville, and; daughter, Lisa Brittain of Zebulon.
She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and five siblings.
