Polly Bullock Baker, 70, of Raleigh, North Carolina, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, March 11, 2026. Born on January 2, 1956, in Wake County, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Howard Hugh Bullock and Thelma Wilson Bullock.
A devoted homemaker, Polly dedicated her life to caring for her family and others. She found joy in simple pleasures—cherishing vibrant colors. Expressing talent evident in the thousands of pages she colored. Never a wasted colored pencil used until the end.
Spending time outdoors and tending to her beloved fishpond. Polly loved cooking hearty meals for her family and visitors alike and especially treasured the company of her grandson Dylan and his friends when they gathered at her home.
Polly had a passion for fishing and enjoyed trips to Santee Cooper. Her cheerful demeanor and radiant smile left a lasting impression on everyone she met. She brought warmth and positivity to all who knew her.
Polly was preceded in death by her husband, James Wyatt Baker; siblings Tammie Houck, Nancy Faye Bullock, Howard Wayne Bullock, and Brent Bullock.
She is survived by her son James Patrick Baker (Sara Stanley) of Dudley, NC; daughter Casey Lynn Baker (Jason Steven Pantages) of Raleigh, NC; two grandsons Jacob Wyatt Pantages of Raleigh, NC; and Patrick Dylan Baker (Ashlyn Hawks) of Raleigh, NC; sister Kathie Conner of Lumberton, NC; and brother Tony Bullock (Sherry) of Raleigh, NC.
Family and friends will gather to honor Polly's life at Montlawn Funeral Home on Thursday, March 19, 2026. Visitation will be held from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., followed by funeral services at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel. Entombment will immediately follow at Montlawn Memorial Park.
Polly's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. May her legacy of kindness bring comfort to all who mourn her passing.
