Obituary of Rachel Blalock
Rachel Allen Blalock, 86, of Raleigh, passed away Sunday, October 7, 2012 at her residence.
A Funeral Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 18, 2012 at Montlawn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10 - 11:00 a.m. Thursday, prior to the service.
Born April 16, 1926 in Johnston County, NC, Rachel was the daughter of the late William Chester Allen and Neva Blackman.
Rachel is survived by her sister Opal Allen Raynor; 2 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
The Rachel Blalock Family would like to acknowledge their gratitude to "Rachel's Angels": Shannon Bailey (Pleasant caregiver), Pam P. Burnett (caregiver), Cheryl Theriault (Family Aging Services), Bobby Pleasant, Dewey Ogburn, Hospice of Wake County and their volunteers, Attorney Linda Johnson and staff.
