Rachel Ann Hinton Grant December 28, 1927 - October 18. 2016 Raleigh Rachel Ann Hinton Grant died Tuesday, October 18, 2016. Rachel was born December 28. 1927 to Arthur David and Effie Bell Hinton of Emit, NC. Rachel was a bookkeeper for St. James Methodist Church and Maus Piano Company in Raleigh, NC. She loved to work with nimbers with pen and paper. She is survived by her sisters, Jean High of Smithfield, NC and Tillie Braswell of Bristol, VA; daughter Cathy Grant Hill of Tifton GA; and by four grandchildren; James Hill and Jennifer Rogers of Tifton, GA; John Hill of W. Lafayette, IN and David Hill of Breaux Bridge, LA; and by eighteen great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Rachel was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Allen Grant; daughter, Patsy Ann Grant and by twelve siblings. A graveside service will be held at 10 am, Friday, October 21, 2016 at Montlawn Memorial Park, Raleigh, NC.
