Ralph Glenwood Coates, 61, passed away on Tuesday December 14, 2021.  He was born in Titusville, Florida on April 11, 1960 the son of the Margaret S. Riggs and the late Charles Lenoard Coates.

Ralph fought a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer, never loosing his great sense of humor and for having a heart of gold. He was a die hard outdoors man that loved fishing, hunting and being out in nature.

He leaves to cherish his memory his mother  Margaret S. Riggs, daughter Misty Ann Coates and granddaughters Haylin Watson and Heidi Johannes.  Brothers, Ronnie, Randy, Ricky and Robert Coates (Pam) along with numerous nieces and nephews, as well as the extended Coates and Simpkins families.

The family will receive friends Thursday, December 16, 2021 from 1-2:00 pm a Celebration of Ralph life will follow in the chapel at Montlawn Funeral Home, 2911 S. Wilmington Street, Raleigh, NC 27604.
