Randy Lee Sauls, 74, of Angier, passed away in Durham on Monday, September 26, 2022. He was born December 28, 1947 in Johnston County, a son of the late Clifford and Leola (Wiggins) Sauls. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers: Billy Ray Sauls and Gary Clifford Sauls.

Randy was a Veteran of the United States Army, serving in Vietnam and awarded both The Bronze Star and the Purple Heart Award. Randy retired from the Garner Postal Services. He was a Cowboy and loved Trail riding horses in Love Valley and loved all his furry friends. Randy never met a stranger and was always willing to assist a friend or even a stranger in need.
He loved his unique toys, but most of all he loved his family and friends.

Randy is survived by his wife of 30 blessed years, Lois Sauls, his children: Cliff Sauls (Emily) and Tim Sauls; step-children Eric Layton (Laurie), Christi Phillippie (Bryan); grandchildren: Kris Sauls,  Jakob Layton, Parker Layton, Davis Layton, Hattie Layton, Luke Phillippie & Sam Phillippie; sister Diane Thames, sister in law: Dale Sauls, as well as many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, September 29, 2022 at Montlawn Funeral Services, 2911 S Wilmington Street, Raleigh, NC 27603. Interment will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park.
