RALEIGH  Raul Acadiz Palacios, age 77, died on October 23, 2021 in his home surrounded by loved ones.  He was born in El paso, TX on August 24, 1944 to Pablo Palacios and Julia Acadiz Palacios.  He is preceded in death by his son, Rudy Joseph Palacios.

Raul was a true definition of a good father, husband and grandfather.  Raul loved the Lord and gave his life to Him as a new creature in Christ over 30 years ago.  He was a very humble man.  He was a truck driver for 40 years.  Raul was a man of few words, but when he spoke, everyone listened as he was a great man of wisdom and knowledge.  He also loved spending time with his famly, fishing, camping and went on many cross-country trips.

He leaves to cherish his memory, wife of 57years, Jennie Palacios, 4 children; Raul Jr. (Maurica) from Buford, GA, Nancy Palacios Taylor (Thornton) from Raleigh, N.C., Nina Ruiz (Jacob) from Arlington, WA, and Randy Palacios (Michelle) from Mooresville, NC.  Raul also has 18 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

The family will receive family and friends at Montlawn Funeral home on October 30.  A visitation will be held from 12:30pm-1:30pm, followed by a Funeral Service at Montlawn Funeral Home and a graveside service at Montlawn Memorial Park.
