Obituary of Ray Kelly

Billy Ray Kelly, 53, of Raleigh, passed away Sunday evening, January 5, 2014 at Duke Raleigh Hospital.

A Service to Celebrate his Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Montlawn Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Montlawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.

A native of Raleigh, Billy was born December 13, 1960, the son of Billy Hugh Kelly and Doris Moore Kelly who survive him. He was a retired electrician at North Carolina State University, was an avid sportsman and dedicated fan of the Dallas Cowboys, UNC Tarheels and enjoyed water skiing, football and fishing.

In addition to his parents, Billy is survived by two sisters; Debbie Craig (Dick) of Richmond, KY and Kristy Box (Charles) of Raleigh as well as his nieces and nephews; Christopher and Cody Cousins and Kyer, Kelly, Casey and Caden Box.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Andrews United Methodist Church Building Fund, 1201 Maxwell Drive, Raleigh, NC 27603.
