Obituary of Raymond Misner

Raymond Hugh Misner, Jr., 82, of Raleigh, passed away Wednesday morning, November 9, 2011 at his residence.

A Funeral Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 12, 2011 at Montlawn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home one half hour prior to the service.

Born January 9, 1929 in Wake County, NC, Hugh was the son of the late Raymond Hugh Misner, Sr. and Ina Pearl Misner. In addition to his parents, Hugh is preceded in death by his brother, John A. Misner; and sister Patricia Ann Nelson.

Hugh is survived by his loving wife, Frances S. Mitchell Misner; daughter, Sharon Efird and husband Chris of Raleigh; grandson, Nathan Efird; brother, W. Richard Misner and wife Patricia of Raleigh; and many nieces and nephews.

Flowers are welcomed or memorial contributions may be made in honor of Hugh to Edenton Street United Methodist Church, 228 West Edenton Street, Raleigh, NC 27603.
