Mrs. Rena Johnson McGee, formerly of Cary, NC, a loving wife, mother and grandmother died Saturday, April 21, 2018 in Wilmington, NC. Rena was born September 6, 1923 in Cleveland School, Johnston County, NC. Rena was preceded in death by her husband Mr. George McGee, and her daughter, Ms. Janet Lane Montgomery, both of MD; her brothers, Mr. Howard Johnson of SC, and Mr. Benjamin Johnson of Raleigh, NC; her sisters, Mrs. Ruth Moser of Apex, NC, and Mrs. Imogene Miles of Landover, MD. She is survived by her sons Mr. James M. Lane of Leland, NC and Mr. Joseph W. Lane of MD; her sisters, Mrs. Betty Sue Senter of Raleigh,NC; Mrs. Eleanor Wheeler of Zebulon, NC; Mrs. Lois Barbour of Cary, NC; her nieces, Mrs. Dorothy Jean Cooper, of Cary, NC; Ms. Shari Johnson of Oregon, her 6 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and many more nieces and nephews. A special thank you is extended to Mr. Neil Cooper of Cary, NC; Ms. Kathy Tattersall, and Mrs. Barbara Simmons, both of Wilmington, NC for their loving care, attention and concern for Rena. Finally, our heartfelt thanks are extended to the CNA's and nurses of Lower Cape Fear Hospice and Northchase Rehabilitation & Nursing facility for their extraordinary care and support.

Visitation and burial will be at Montlawn Funeral Home, Raleigh, NC on Friday, April 27 at 12 pm.
