Richard J Kelley passed away on August15, 2023 at UNC Health in Smithfield North Carolina. He is best remembered as a loving, caring and compassionate husband, father, son, grandpa, uncle and friend.
Richard was a proud Vietnam veteran of the U.S. Navy with 4 years of service. He worked for ABL & Associates in Raleigh North Carolina before retiring in 2020.
Richard was predeceased by his parents, Roscoe J. Kelley (2013) and Jacqueline B Kelley (2020). Richard was also predeceased by his son-in-law Jesse W Alexander (2023) and sister-in-law Joanne Cwikla.

Richard is survived by his wife of 50 years, Saraanne M Kelley of Clayton NC, as well as his three children Robert of Kenly NC, Melinaanne (David) of Syracuse NY and Jennifer of Cuyler NY. He is also survived by his seven grandchildren Kayleyann (Seth) Morrow of Grover NC, Natalee Landon of Syracuse NY, Robert D'Alessandro of Cuyler NY, David Landon of Syracuse NY, Richard D'Alessandro of Cuyler NY, Jack Landon of Syracuse NY and Maryanne Landon of Syracuse NY. Richard is also survived by his four sisters-in-law, Penny Peters, Cynthnia Robinson, Sheba Patterson and Carla Oliver-Gulnick, Cousins, nieces, and nephews.
There will be two services in honor of his memory, The First Service will be held at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Pompey NY on August 31st at 1:30 pm.  The second service will be at Montlawn Funeral Home 2911 S. Wilmington St. Raleigh, NC on 10-6-2023 at 1:00 p.m.
