Richard (Dick) Quinton Stephenson, age 70, died Sunday, June 14 ^th , 2020 surrounded by his family. Dick was born in Raleigh July 26 ^th , 1949 to Elmon (Buster) Eugene Stephenson, Sr. and Lois Hardee Stephenson.

Dick graduated from Needham Broughton High School in Raleigh and attended Lee University in Cleveland, TN. He retired from Caterpillar after 18 years in 2012. He loved to travel with Grace and learn about different cultures, especially her home of the Philippines. He also loved to listen to Christian and Filipino music. His hobby was playing World of Warcraft on his computer. He was known to Grace's family as Daddy Dick, and he loved spending time with them.

He was predeceased by his parents and brothers Gene and David Stephenson. Dick is survived by wife Grace of Raleigh, son Christopher and wife Lisa and granddaughters Abigail and Bella of Cleveland, TN, sister Ellen Saunders and husband David of Raleigh, nieces in NC, TX, and CA and a nephew in NC, and mother-in-law, Marlene Labrado, of Cebu, Philippines.

The family welcomes friends to a graveside service Wednesday, June 17 ^th , at 12 pm at Montlawn Memorial Park, 2911 S. Wilmington Street in Raleigh. In lieu of flowers, gifts can be made to a scholarship at Lee University for students in financial need.
