Robert Edgar "Bob" Kirby, Jr., 82, of Myrtle Beach, SC, formerly of Raleigh, passed away Tuesday, November 28, 2017. He was born June 16, 1935 in Trenton, NJ son of the late Robert Edgar Kirby, Sr. and Reba Bailey Kirby.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel of Memories in the Montlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum in Raleigh. The family will receive friends on Saturday in the Mausoleum from 10:30 - 11:00 A.M.

Mr. Kirby was a Mechanical Engineer. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, model trains, and traveling.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Holland Kirby of the home, a son, Mark Kirby and wife Jody of Santa Clarita, CA, a daughter, Gaye Beasley of Raleigh, and two grandsons, Jack and Nicholas Kirby of Santa Clarita, CA.

The family wishes to give special thanks to Agape Hospice of the Low Country. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
