Robert Ferguson Coffey, 86, died peacefully at his residence, surrounded by his family, on Saturday, February 6, 2016. He was a retired veteran of the US Marine Corp. and also a retired maintenance supervisor with Wake Technical College. He was a "jack of all trades" and master of all and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Robert was a much loved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and will be missed by everyone who knew him.

Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Marie Coffey; son Robert (Bobby) Coffey, III and wife Roxanne of Raleigh; daughters, Nancy Massey and husband Ken of Willow Spring, Joan Wells and husband Roger of Garner and Barbara Worrells and husband Ronald of Fuquay Varina; 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Rachel Hartley.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at Montlawn Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10-11 am Tuesday, prior to the service.
