Robert John Hudson was born April 14, 1988 in Raleigh, N.C. He was the only child of Lois and John Hudson. Robert passed away on March 24, 2023 in his family home in Raleigh, age 34 years old.

As a child, Robert was curious about many things, especially in nature. He enjoyed fishing with his Gran'pa Zobel and cousin Wolfgang Criswell when the latter was visiting from California. He also enjoyed playing with his young cousins Kyle, Katie, Charlotte and Andrew Zobel who live in Wake Forest.

In his adult years, Robert took an interest in food preparation and cooked for his mother, Lois, when she was ill. His father, John, said he had "a knack" for working with food and thought Robert could do well in that industry.

Robert had other interests too. He liked creating big murals and checking out what other artists were doing. He had a deep desire to create and Iike many artists, was searching for an outlet where he could express himself.

Robert was predeceased by his mother, Lois Hudson. He is survived by his father, John Hudson, and uncles, aunts and cousins from his mother's side of his family. A private gathering was held recently for close friends.
