Robert (Bob) Johnson Lilly of Garner, son of Annaionette Bobbitt Lilly and Harold Maurice Lilly Sr. of Garner passed in peace on Sunday, May 1, 2022 at age 63.

Former husband to Michele Bobbitt Lilly, together had two sons, Brockton Lilly and Samuel Lilly. His son Brock Lilly married Tara Willis and they gave Bob a grandson, Maverick Lilly. His son Sam Lilly married Meredith Vincent and they gave him a grandson, Hudson Lilly. Bob has a granddaughter due on his coming birthday of June 6th. Bob is survived by his mother Annaionette Bobbitt Lilly, his brother Harold Lilly Jr. and his wife Sharon Lilly, his brother Ken Lilly, his sister Melissa Lilly Williams and her husband Michael Williams. His nephew Justin Lilly, and nieces: Kierstin Lilly, Morgan Moresco and Micaela Newton.

Bob always loved working with his hands and could build just about anything. At age 17, he began working in a cabinet business. Before long, he became a partner and later purchased the business. He named it Carolina Countertops Inc. of Garner and together with his brother, Harold Lilly Jr., ran a successful business for many years until it was sold.

Eventually, Bob began working with the N.C. State Farmers Market and enjoyed working this job until retirement. He also took care of his mother and brother, Ken Lilly, and allowed them to remain in their family home.

Bob had many friends and was always willing to help if they needed a hand. We want to thank all of his friends who have loved and supported him during his illness. We also want to thank the team of doctors and nurses at Wake Medical Center of Raleigh for their wonderful care.
