Roger William Forkey, 92, of Raleigh, North Carolina, passed away on December 29, 2023. He was born on November 8, 1931, in Newton Falls, New York, to the late Sheldon and Ruth Forkey. Roger proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War.

Roger was a loving and kind man who cherished his family and friends. He had a fun-loving spirit and was known for his athleticism. He was especially fond of his grandchildren and always had a "Hadoo" for them.

Roger is survived by his beloved wife, Patsy W Forkey, and his children, David Forkey (Melori Sidall), Kimberley Raszinski (Joseph Raszinski), and Steven Forkey (Lynne Mathews). He will be deeply missed by his grandchildren, Bryan Raszinski (Elisabeth Sprague), Brett Raszinski, Jessica Raszinski, Justin Forkey, Christopher Forkey, Nicholas Forkey, and Mariana Forkey, and his great-grandson, Alexander William
Palacios. Roger was preceded in death by his son, Scott Forkey.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2024, from 1:00 pm at Montlawn Memorial Park, located at 2911 S Wilmington St, Raleigh, NC 27603. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm. Montlawn Memorial Park in Raleigh, NC, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
