Roger McCoy Tippett, 75 of Garner, passed away Thursday, May 16, 2019. Roger is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Faye (Thrower) Tippett; son, Jeff Tippett (Kinzy) of Wilmington, NC and daughter Kim Tippett (Maria) of Angier, NC; granddaughter Grace Tippett of Wilmington and grandson Shawn Tippett of Garner.

Roger is also survived by a brother Benny Tippett (Bessie) of Cary and brother-in-law Tom Aversa of Clayton as well as many nieces and nephews and extended family. He was preceded in death by a son Mike Tippett and sisters Kay Aversa and Faye "Baby" Thorton.

Roger enjoyed spending time fishing, woodworking, gardening and watching Tarheel sports.

A funeral service will be held Monday, May 20, 2019 at 3:00 PM at The Chapel at Montlawn .The family will receive friends 2:00 - 3:00 PM, Monday May 20, 2019 at Montlawn Funeral Home.
