Obituary of Rolf Kreuscher

Rolf Reiner Kreuscher, 79, died February 18, 2015 at his home. He was born on May 26, 1935 in Pforzheim, Germany. After immigrating with his family at the age of fourteen, he enlisted in the US Army in October 1952, serving two combat tours in Vietnam. He served a total of 23 years retiring in May 1975 as a Major in the US Special Forces. After retiring from the Army, he became employed with the NC State Disability Determination Office and retired in August 1996.

Surviving are his sons, Roger B. Kreuscher and Richard R. Kreuscher; daughter, Rita E. Hamlin; four grandchildren.

A graveside service with military honors will be held 1:00 pm Saturday, February 28, 2015 at Montlawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at Montlawn Funeral Home from 12:00 noon - 1:00 pm Saturday immediately prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to any veterans' organization. He supported many of them and kept in contact with fellow veterans.
