RALEIGH Ronald S. Drinkhouse, 89 of Raleigh, NC passed away Nov. 30, 2020. He is survived by his loving wife, Beverly of 38 years. He loved, laughed, read and wrote to the very end.

Ron was fathered by a successful NYC restaurateur Michael Drinkhouse and Elaine Bregman in New York. He is preceded in death by a son, Jamie Drinkhouse.

Ron was a true patriot serving in the U.S Navy. He was a Navy staff officer aboard the USS English.  In his Navy role he made ultimate decisions to save his heavily damaged ship; some decisions only Vets can appreciate. He is also preceded in death by his brother, who served in the Marines and is immortalized in Okinawa, Japan.

Ron was father, brother and friend to many.  A hard man at times, but always knew his course and heart. Following in his parents footsteps Ron was a successful restaurant VP of Beefsteak Charlie's. He and Beverly created their own successful business "Wines N Such"  in Brookfield, Ct.

In addition to his wife, Beverly, Ron is survived by a sister, Eva; Children, Mary, Katy, David, Phil, Jerry, Brad and Randy; 9 Grandchildren, and great grandchildren coming in the spring, as his namesake.

The internment will be scheduled at a time to be determined in the future.
