Ronald Augustus Nichols, 82, passed peacefully Friday September 2, 2022 at home in High Point, NC.

Ron was a graduate of North Carolina State University, served his country honorably in the United States Navy and retired from Johnston Community College as Director of the NC Truck Driver Training School.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Nancy, as well as daughters, Nikki Chadwick (Ray) and Gwen Bernal, son John Owens (Susan), 6 grandchildren Cody, Alex, Matthew, Faith, Johnny, Samantha and 2 great-grandchildren Bella and Ezra

Many knew his love for performance cars and vanity plates. He didn't speed. He just wanted to get to the speed limit faster. Those closest to him had the privilege of experiencing his wicked sense of humor.

Dad, you are so loved and missed terribly!

A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 10, 2022 at 2PM - 3:00 PM at Montlawn Funeral Home 2911 S. Wilmington St. Raleigh, NC
